There have been several new development sites reported by The Real Deal magazine in the pipeline for Brooklyn. Most of the projects have begun digging and are slated for completion between 2013-2014.
Most of the sites are likely to be rental units, which developers believe produce better numbers and a higher return in the current Brooklyn market in comparison to condo units.
Another alternative could be the hybrid building, which would start off as rentals and branch into condo sales when the area develops further.
In regards to Bushwick, there are a few developments in the works on the Broadway/Bushwick side of the neighborhood. This area seems to have larger parcels of property available which is highly attractive to developers. These buildings will boast 20-30 something units, which could be future condo options for residents of the area.
